Entrevista con Allgaier Mogensen

Interview With Allgaier Mogensen

Interview with  Juan José Cebrián, Sales Manager at ALLGAIER MOGENSEN, published on www.easyengineering.eu (December 2, 2020)

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Juan José Cebrián: While mining, recycling, and the processing of foodstuffs make up the main areas of activity, our design and manufacturing teams are constantly developing new and tailor-made solutions for companies in numerous industries.

BioFuel, pharmaceuticals, ceramics, plastics, and animal feed are all areas in which we have also developed effective systems and equipment.

E.E: What’s the news for 2020 about new products?

J.J.C: In 2020 our development teams focused on improving the GSort – Densimetric tables for new applications. The GSort’s dry density separation process has been successfully applied in several industrial sectors. Able to achieve highly efficient performance in density separation while having a lower ecological footprint made it a priority for us this year.

E.E: What are the ranges of traded products?

J.J.C: Our equipment portfolio covers a wide range of different applications for the separation and classification of solid bulk materials that are used in many key industries.

Some of our products for industrial materials include; density and size sorting, bulk screening, sand-washing, optical sorting (done by MOGENSEN in Germany), and dryers and coolers.

In a dry size separation process, we can separate materials from 200 microns to 300mm, and Allgaier Process Technology in Germany is exploring possibilities to separate material as small as 20 microns. By density dry, we can separate from 500 microns range to 80 mm range.

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

J.J.C: ALLGAIER, and our partner brands, are currently active in a wide variety of markets, in over 40 countries worldwide. Each market in its own stage of development and growth. As a global company, we use our experience gained over 110 years, know-how, and flexibility to cater to each market and address its specific needs no matter what stage it’s in.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

J.J.C: We can say that currently, the mining market and industry have started to prioritize dry separation alternatives as part of their process technology improvements, facing environmental challenges.

There is a much-needed trend towards more water conscious and environmentally friendly solutions, not only for the environment as a whole but also to avoid disasters such as what happened in Brumadinho (Brazil) in 2019. Mining companies also have to compete with other industries, such as agriculture, over resources, especially water.

All markets naturally have a trend towards improved efficiencies, while also being aware of their impact. Often this means custom making a solution to effectively address the problem(s), which is something that we specialize in.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?

J.J.C: Currently, the GSort densimetric table is one of our most innovative products available on the market. It’s extremely effective when used to separate materials that have different densities.

It provides far better performance, beating established sorting methods by up to 80%. That combined with minimal process costs, a robust design, enhanced safety, flexibility, and easy operation and handling, makes it one of our most innovative designs yet.

It also directly addresses the environmental concerns around significantly reducing energy consumption and saving water, while still effectively handling the flowing materials.

E.E: What estimations do you have for 2020?

J.J.C: For the remainder of 2020 and looking forward to 2021, we’ll continue to focus our effort on addressing the solutions needed in the Mining industry. Especially when it comes to the impact that dry separation of materials is having on tackling water management in the industry.

We believe it’s through these innovations and improvements that we can help the mining industry by offering effective alternatives to their current processes.
